The patent for using our renewable synthesis gas to run molten carbonate fuel cells was granted this year. When these carbonate fuel cells are large enough to match up with our gasifier in five years, we will have the most efficient base load power plant in the world running on renewable energy.
Even with the boilers and turbines we have today, using biomass separated from waste avoids long-distance truck pollution and methane released from landfills. |
That means that unlike the idea of growing trees as energy crops, the Taylor Solutions plant actually provides a net reduction in green house gas emissions.
